Personally, I don't like having KeePass open all the time, or any password program that's why the copy and paste method is just fine for me. Also, for this to work, KeePass2 has to be unlocked & running, so you might want to consider adding KeePass2 to your Start-up programs, and or starting KeePass2 before starting Firefox or Chrome. I just right click my password entry, or use a keyboard shortcut, to copy the login name, and paste that into a login name section, and then I do the same for the password it is easy and it works great. I think it was the first product in this field. In 2005 or so I started using Roboform password manager in Windows, without giving much thought to whether it was future proof or which platforms it was available on. I just managed to migrate my entire Firefox profile which goes back to the days of Netscape Navigator (first browser I used).
